Nigeria Education is becoming so difficult to understand ever since this COVID 19 Pandemic. The National Association of University Students (NAUS), through a letter signed by its Senate President, Ibrahim Muhammad Lawal, and addressed to the Federal Ministry of Education on June, 26, has called for the reopening of all schools in the country, according to THE NATION.
National Association of University Students’ (NAUS), is the highest decision making body for students studying in institutions of higher learning, from the university cadre with over twenty (20) million members both in Nigeria and her Diaspora.
In Nigeria, the Federal Ministry of Education closed all tertiary, secondary and primary schools nationwide, over the outbreak of the COVID-19 in the country earlier in March, 2020. The indefinite closure is part of measures to contain the spread of the virus among school children.
However, the outbreak of COVID-19 has forced schools globally to switch to online learning, which is very difficult to practice in developing countries like Nigeria, where over Forty percent live on less than $1 a day, and only one in four have internet access.

Muhammad said and quote; ‘We have decided to push for all schools resumption because of different reasons. The NCDC announced recently that 85per cent to 95per cent patients will recover. Some states have no coronavirus patients again.
If worship centres and the market can operate while obeying social distancing rules, I think our schools can reopen and then we change the academic calendar’.
He equally encouraged the Federal Government to provide full electricity for evening classes, scrap payments of acceptance fees, and also, create isolation centres in schools for safe reopening.
