The Nigerian Army 86 regular recruitment intake of 2023 is scheduled to take place as follows; application starts on 25 September 2023 and closes on 20 October 2023. Shortlisted candidates will participate in the State Recruitment Screening Exercise scheduled for 6 to 19 November 2023.
Applicant Requirements For Nigerian Army Recruitment For 2023/2024
- Applicants who meet the criteria must be residents of the country’s borders and have Nigerian citizenship by birth.
- Every applicant is required to participate in a zonal screening exercise conducted by the Nigerian Army at designated zonal centers located within their respective state of origin.
- Non-Tradesmen and Women applicants should have an age range between 18 and 22 years.
- Candidates are required to meet specific medical, psychological, and physical fitness standards. Additionally, male applicants must have a minimum height of 1.65 meters, while female applicants must have a minimum height of 1.56 meters.
- Applicants must have a clean criminal record with no prior convictions.
- Applicants are required to print out their completed online forms, sign them, and subsequently submit them at the specified screening centers during the designated period for the Nigerian Army screening exercise.
General Instructions To All Applicants
- Candidates should be aware that there will be no pre-selection computer-based test.
- There will be no designated special center for the recruitment process.
- A zonal screening exercise will not be conducted.
- The screening of prospective recruits will take place exclusively at the candidates’ respective state of origin.
- Candidates are strictly prohibited from bringing electronic or recording devices to the State Recruitment Exercise venue.
- Any candidate found to have falsified or forged their results, even during training at Depot NA, will be immediately withdrawn from the training program.
- Candidates are strongly advised to bring their BVN (Bank Verification Number) printout with them.

Education Qualification To Apply for The Nigerian Army Recruitment Form
1. All applicants must have WASCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB.
2. In addition to the above qualification, those applying as tradesmen/women must also possess a Trade Test/City Guild Certificate.
3. Registered Nurses and Midwives not above 30 years old may also apply.
