The Dorothy Marchus Senesh Fellowship for Women

The Dorothy Marchus Senesh Fellowship provides two biennial fellowships awarded to two women from the developing world for studies in the field of peace.

These two fellowships are awarded every other year.  Larry Senesh (now deceased), a professor of Economics at the University of Colorado at Boulder, established this Fellowship in memory of his wife. Women in Management and Finance Scholarship

The Macquarie University Women in Management and Finance Scholarship is a highly competitive scholarship awarded to students based on exceptional academic merit and qualification. This scholarship aims to encourage eligible students to explore their full potential and supports them in pursuing their quest for knowledge.

This scholarship is valued at AUD $15,000 per year for the duration of your Master’s coursework degree (AUD $7,500 will be credited to each session).

Criteria For The Women’s scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a full-time international student commencing an applicable postgraduate (coursework) degree on-campus (or online if impacted by COVID-19 border restrictions) and meet the following criteria: Macquarie University Women scholarship

• Be a citizen of one of the countries located in either the African region, the Latin American region, the ASEAN region; Greater China; the United States, or Canada.

FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship Program

The FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship Program is open to women of any age and citizenship who are studying Finance in a graduate-level program. The scholarship offers an award of US$10,000.

The scholarship is an award of US$20,000 with 50% of the award being paid directly to the winner and the remaining 50% being paid to the educational institution to directly assist with tuition.

Eligibility:

Applications are welcomed from female citizens of all countries. To be eligible for the 2022 scholarship, you must:

• • Have commenced your post-graduate Finance studies no earlier than 1 January 2022 or no later than 1 February 2023
• • Be enrolled and attending the program on a full-time basis during the 2022 – 2023 academic year

Eira Francis Davies Scholarships in Human and Health Sciences

The Eira Francis Davies Scholarship is a full tuition fee scholarship ordinarily awarded to one outstanding female student per academic year. The student must be a national of and resident in an eligible developing country, who pursues a postgraduate taught Master’s programme within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Science.

Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund for Women

Amelia Earhart Fellowship for Women in Aerospace-related Sciences and Engineering

The Amelia Earhart Fellowship was established in 1938 in honor of the famed pilot and Zontian, Amelia Earhart. The US$10,000 Fellowship is awarded annually to up to 30 women pursuing Ph.D./doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering and space sciences. It may be used at any university or college offering accredited post-graduate courses and degrees in these fields.

Applicants who wish to apply for Amelia Earhart Fellowship for Women in Aerospace-related Sciences and Engineering scholarship must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Women of any nationality pursuing a Ph.D./doctoral degree who demonstrate a superior academic record conducting research applied to aerospace engineering or space sciences are eligible.

It is imperative that students be registered in a full-time Ph.D./doctoral program and have completed at least one year of that program or have received a master’s degree in an aerospace-applied field at the time the application is submitted. Applicants must not graduate from their Ph.D. or doctoral program before April 2024.

Please note that post-doctoral research programs are not eligible for the Fellowship.

Club members and individuals with direct membership with Zonta International and employees of Zonta International and Zonta Foundation for Women, and their family members (ancestors, descendants, adoptees, siblings, nieces or cousins, and those of their spouse or co-habiting partner), are not eligible to apply for the Fellowship.

PEO International Peace Scholarship for Women

The scholarship is based upon demonstrated need; however, the award is not intended to cover all academic or personal expenses. At the time of application, the applicant is required to indicate additional financial resources adequate to meet her estimated expenses. Examples of additional resources are personal and family funds, tuition waivers, work scholarships, teaching assistantships, study grants, and other scholarships.

The maximum amount awarded to a student is $12,500. Lesser amounts may be awarded according to individual needs.

Eligibility

• The P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to women from outside the United States and Canada who are seeking advanced degrees from an accredited college or university in the U.S. or Canada with the expectation that students will return to their home countries to utilize their education to make a positive impact and foster global peace.
• In order to qualify for her first scholarship, an applicant must have a full year of coursework remaining, be enrolled, and be in residence for the entire school year.
• Doctoral students who have completed coursework and are working only on dissertations are not eligible as first-time applicants.
• International students attending Cottey College are eligible to apply for a scholarship.
• A student who is a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada is not eligible. Note: A student with residency for tax purposes only is permitted.
• Scholarships are not given for online courses, research, internships or for practical training if not combined with coursework.

Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowships for Women

The program’s long-term goal is to accelerate gender equality in STEM by generating conditions that result in more women pursuing scientific careers by alleviating some of the barriers they encounter
when enrolling in STEM disciplines.

The program is committed to gender parity in science in the interests of sustainable development and recognizes that full access to and participation in a STEM curriculum is essential for the empowerment of women and girls.

To be eligible to apply for this Fellowship applicants must meet the following criteria: You:

• are a female and are a citizen of a developing country or emerging economy where women are underrepresented in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines*. You are not eligible to apply if you hold dual citizenship which is the citizenship of a developed country. (N.B. If you have been awarded a Faculty for the Future grant and after the award, you obtain citizenship of a developed country, the grant will be discontinued as of the date of such additional citizenship);

• are preparing for a Ph.D. degree or post-doctoral research in a STEM discipline. The Faculty for the Future program does not fund Master level studies; – are enrolled, admitted, or have applied to a host university/research institute abroad (applications are no longer accepted where a candidate has not yet applied to a university). If you are applying for a sandwich course the final degree must be awarded by the Host University abroad or jointly (i.e., but not solely from the home country university);

• hold an excellent academic record;

• are willing to go back to your home country or region upon completion of your studies to contribute to its socio-economic development; – have a proven record of teaching experience in your home country and can demonstrate your commitment to going back home to:

i) an academic or research position in a STEM faculty;
ii) and/or to use your knowledge to become a STEM entrepreneur to help resolve regional challenges in your local community/region;
iii) and/or demonstrate leadership by contributing to the public sector using your scientific skills to help provide evidence-based support for STEM policy making, including topics of gender representation; SLB-Private – can demonstrate leadership skills, active community outreach, and have a track record in encouraging girls and women into STEM.
