UNIOSUN Admission Requirements:
General Requirements:
- Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent with credit level passes in five subjects at no more than two sittings.
- An acceptable score in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Direct Entry (200 Level) Requirements:
- At least five O/L credits, including two at Advanced Level or approved equivalents.
UNIOSUN Departmental Admission Requirements:
For U.M.E. Candidates:
- SSCE or equivalent with credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and other core subjects, along with credit in any two other relevant science, social science, or humanities subjects.
- An acceptable UTME score.
UNIOSUN Direct Entry Candidates (200 Level):
- Advanced Level passes in at least two subjects, including Geography.
- Credit passes in five relevant subjects at SSCE or its equivalents.
- ND/NCE or approved equivalents in relevant fields with at least a lower credit.
- Acceptable pass in the UNIOSUN Foundation Programme with the requisite qualifications for 100-level entry.
UNIOSUN Post UTME Screening:
All candidates must pass the University’s post-UTME Screening test, regardless of their UTME scores.
UNIOSUN Registration Procedure:
- Registration is typically completed at the start of the semester.
- Changes to registered courses require course coordinator approval.
- Withdrawals from a course are allowed before one-third of lectures, with failure after this point resulting in a recorded 0F grade.
- Late registration may be permitted up to four weeks after the start of registration.
UNIOSUN Duration of Degree Programmes:
- Non-professional degree programs typically require a minimum of four years (or three years for direct-entry candidates).
- Registration extensions up to 50% of the program’s duration may be granted if a student fails to graduate within the minimum period.
