How NDA admission works
The NDA Regular Course is a 5-year cadet programme that ends with a degree and a commission as an officer. Admission happens in stages, so let’s go through them.
NDA Application and UTME
Applicants must write the latest UTME and choose NDA Kaduna as their first-choice institution. After that, you apply on the NDA portal.
For the 78 Regular Course, applications opened on 28 November 2025 and closed on 30 April 2026, and the application form cost ₦7,000. Only pay through the official portal, because NDA warned that other payment routes are not accepted.
NDA Screening test
The Nda screening test is a written aptitude paper that you take at your chosen centre. Candidates choose their preferred exam state, and they receive their assigned centre details shortly before the test. So always rely on your admission card, not an old list.
AFSB interview
Candidates who pass the screening go to the Armed Forces Selection Board (AFSB). For the 78 Regular Course, the AFSB ran from 4 July to 19 August 2026.
NDA Admission list
NDA then publishes the list of successful and reserve candidates. In 2026, successful candidates were told to report to the Ribadu Campus in Kaduna on 12 September, and anyone who missed the 14 September deadline lost the slot.
