Waec Releases Wassce Result Private Candidates Series: For the successful conduct of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination ( WASSCE) for private candidates 2020.
The coordination of examiners and marking of candidates scripts for the WASSCE for private candidate 2020 – the first series was equally, successfully held, between February 28, 2020, at three (3) marking venues in Abeokuta, Kaduna, and Enugu.
The results for Waec private candidates 2020-first series has been released by the West African Examination Council (WAEC). Olu Adenipekun, WAEC’s head of National Office, said that 12,075 candidates sat for the examination 5,251 out of the total number of candidates obtained credits and above in a minimum of five subjects

The information was disclosed in a tweet via the exam council’s official twitter handle. Olu Adenipekun, the head of the Nigeria National Office WAEC, at a press briefing, in Lagos state, a breakdown of the candidates’ performances.
The announcement of the WASSCE result is coming 30 days after the conclusion of the nationwide exam.
The examination which was concluded on February 4, had a total of 12,395 candidates who registered out of which 12,075 sat for the examination. 6,331 were male while 5,744 were female candidates.
- Nine Thousand Four Hundred and Thirty-Eight ( 9,438) candidates, representing 78. 16% obtained credit in two subjects;
- Eight Thousand One Hundred and Twenty-Five (8,125) candidates, representing 67.29% obtained credit and above in three subjects;
- Six thousand Seven Hundred and thirteen (6,713) candidates, representing 55.59% obtained credit and above in four (4) subjects;
- Five Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty-One (5,251) candidates, representing 43.49% obtained credit and above in four (4) subjects;
During the presentation of the analysis statistics of candidates’ performance in the examination; said that a total of 3,892 (32.23%) candidates obtained credit and above in a minimum of five subjects including English Language and General Mathematics; noting that the percentage of candidates in this category in the first series of WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2019 was 26.08%.
