Waec Registration Procedure 2024- WAEC registration for the 2023/2024 academic session is now available on the Waec Portal. The 2024 Waec registration form is out and registration is currently ongoing for SS3 external candidates who wish to register or apply for the May/June examination this year, can now apply.
Waec Registration Procedure 2024 Can Be Done By Using Two Ways Which Are By
- Capture biometrics (passport and fingerprints) then go to the web and click CONTINUE REGISTRATION
- Go to the web and click START REGISTRATION fill in and save the information then go and capture biometrics (passport and fingerprints)
If the second way is used, ensure that at biometric capture, the same username, password, email, surname, first name, and other name are inputted. If the same info is not inputted, the system will complain that the username has been used.
Apply For 2024 WAEC Registration – Simple Steps for Registration
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) Registration is on and all eligible candidates are hereby advised to register. You can easily follow this step-by-step method on how to register for your 2023 Waec registration.
Login To WAEC Portal
Candidates are to start their Waec Registration by enrolling their fingerprints and capturing other personal details using the Biometric Data Capture software.
Click here to download if you have a fingerprint scanner or visit any Registration Centre with such facilities to scan your fingerprints. Ensure your Surname, First name, and other names are captured using the software.
WAEC Candidates Are To fill Their BIODATA For the WAEC Registration
You are required to enter your bio data which includes
- Gender,
- Disability,
- Marital Status,
- Maiden Name (if applicable),
- Date of Birth, Nationality, and State of Origin.
Note that your name must not be more than 40 characters, this includes spaces between the surname, first name, and other names. Please select NONE for disability information if you are not disabled
All WAEC CANDIDATE DO PICTURE CAPTURING USING A WEBCAM
All Waec candidates are required to take a picture with a webcam with a minimum Camera Specification* 2.0MP 720p USB 2.0 Color: High-Resolution RGB Support Hi-Speed USB 2.0 certified 2.0-megapixel sensor Up to 30 frames per second.
The major WAEC Recommended for capturing candidates is the Microsoft LifeCam HD 3000 Webcam. Note that the picture will be printed on your photo card and certificate.
ALL WAEC CANDIDATES ARE TO GIVE CONTACT INFORMATION
The Waec Registration Procedure 2024 requires of you to supply your contact information during your Waec registration which includes
- Telephone
- Residential Address
- Residential City
- Residential State
- Postal Address
- City and State.
- Note that a telephone number is compulsory since it would be used to contact the candidate should the need arise.

WAEC SELECTION OF PREFERRED EXAMINATION TOWN
You are required to select the state and town you wish to write the examination. The exact center will be automatically assigned to you by the system. Please note that you cannot change your examination town after submission
WAEC SUBJECTS SELECTION DURING WAEC REGISTRATION
English Language and Mathematics have been automatically selected for you because they are compulsory.
You are required to select the other subjects you wish to register for in this examination. Please note that a minimum of Seven (7) and a maximum of Nine (9) subjects are allowed (English Language and Mathematics inclusive).
WAEC DECLARATION
You are required to read the declaration section carefully and check or tick the checkboxes before submitting your form. You cannot proceed unless you have done this.
SUBMIT OF WAEC REGISTRATION
Once you have completed the registration form, you are required to click the ACCEPT button after which a preview of your details will be displayed.
- You are required to review your application at this stage and click the EDIT button if you desire to make any modifications.
- You should click the SAVE button if you want to save your application and still be able to come back and modify it.
Important Notice:
You can only modify up to 3 times. Click the SUBMIT button if you want to submit your application.
You will no longer be able to modify your application once you click the SUBMIT button.
WAEC CANDIDATES CAN PRINT ADMISSIONS NOTICE/PHOTO CARD AFTER REGISTRATION
On successful completion and submission of your registration form, the system will allocate a centre to you and generate your examination number. You should then print the admission notice/photo card. Note that this document will be required before you are allowed into the examination hall.
2024 WAEC Registration Deadline Date
The 2024 WAEC Registration is starting on 5th February 2024 which will end on Friday 19th March 2024 (Normal Registration). The WAEC Registration fee has been increased from Thirteen thousand nine hundred and fifty Naira (N13,950) to Eighteen Thousand Naira (N18,000).
